- As a child I wanted to change the world. Not much has changed, although I now realize that perhaps I need to create goals that are a little more specific. Goodness, that was a lot to try to live up to as a child! I am an introvert that likes to force myself to be extroverted for the adrenaline rush, a quirky girl who prefers books to television, and a willing debator on most topics. I have the absolute best job as a preschool (next year early elementary severe disabilities) special education teacher where I teach some of the sweetest and most incredible children on earth. What other job allows you to play with all of the toys you missed out on growing up and to get paid for doing it? I mean, come on, I get recess! But my little ones are the greatest part of all, even if they do leave sticky, messy, gooey handprints and fingerprints and mystery marks all over. I have been branded and claimed by their handprints. Outside of teaching I am trying to figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life now that I have the whole job thing settled. And there is that nagging issue of changing the world that I need to address.
